I was born in Fort Worth, Texas,
and raised throughout the DFW Metroplex. I had
the pleasure of attending high school at a local
charter school with a graduating class of 25. I
have always been interested in politics, current
events, and history, and excelled in these
subject areas throughout high school. I was
lucky enough to be accepted into one of the best
colleges in the world – The University of Texas
at Austin (UT).
During my time at UT I was actively involved in
the political and cultural scene throughout the
university. I also immersed myself in the huge
football tradition on campus and still enjoy
cheering on the Longhorns every weekend during
football season. I took full advantage of my
time at UT and received a dual Bachelor of Arts
in Political Science and American Studies,
accompanied by two minors in Spanish and
English. During my Junior year I had the honor
of interning at the State Capitol of Texas for a
local State Representative.
Following the completion of my studies at UT I
returned to the Dallas area and started working
for a prominent immigration firm. I enjoyed
working with people from every background and
culture and was intrigued by this area of law. I
was extremely drawn to the aspect of helping
immigrants find their place in the United
States. Maneuvering through the
Immigration system is not an easy task and I
feel I am making a difference in the community
by providing some insight and direction.
I still plan on applying for law school in the
near future and will continue to focus in this
specialized area of law.
