I was born in San Antonio, Texas
and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas
until the 5th grade when we
moved to Dallas. I attended Clara Oliver Grade
School, Boude Storey Junior High, and South Oak
Cliff High School. I worked at Wyatt Food Store
at Hampton and Illinois until I graduated
from high school. I attended Texas
A&M University and North Texas University. I
dropped out my senior year to join the United
States Marines. I served as a Marine rifleman in
Viet Nam. I was wounded in action, but not
seriously. I am a member of the Military Order
of the Purple Heart. I worked at the Dallas
County Sheriff’s Office from
1970 to 1979. I left there to attend Law School
at Texas Tech University. I graduated from Texas
Tech University in December 1982.
During my career as a lawyer, I have worked at
three different law firms. I have been at Kraft
& Associates for 20 years. My practice has been
limited to representing the injured person or
disabled individual. I currently restrict my
practice to Social Security Disability and have
represented more than 4,000 individuals in their
quest for Disability Benefits. If you count the
6,000 plus Workers’ Compensation clients I
represented in the 1980's, and a smattering
number of medical malpractice, defective
product, car wreck and slip and fall cases I
have represented more than 10,000 individuals in
their attempts to receive compensation for their
injuries or disabilities. I pride myself in
being honest, hard working,
and well prepared.
I have been married for 38 years to a wonderful
girl who teaches 5th grade. I have two great
children and three delightful grandchildren. My
hobbies are watching pro and college football
and doing whatever my wife tells me to do.
